Job summary
The West Integrated Community Mental Health Team is based at Colburn Medical Practice and offers assessment and therapy/intervention to an adult population presenting with mild to moderate and moderate to severe mental health issues.
We cover a large rural area and we endeavour to offer therapy/intervention in a clinic base close to the patients home. Therefore access to a vehicle and ability to work alone across varying locations is a necessity.
In the event that permanent funding is secured for this post the successful applicant will be confirmed in post on a permanent basis.
Applicants must ensure that prior to applying they have agreement from their current line manager that they can be released on a secondment basis.
Main duties of the job
Due to the current post holder commencing maternity leave an exciting opportunity has arisen for a for a Highly Specialist Applied Psychologist to join the West Integrated Community Mental Health Team based at Colburn Medical Practice.
The Clinical Psychologists in the team are key leadership team members and as such work following the multi disciplinary team approach adopted by the whole team.
As a key member there would be an expectation for the 8a psychologist to lead and support other clinicals in the team whilst also providing specialist assessment and therapy for an identified patient group.
