Job summary

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 CAMHS Nurse, to join the Community CAMHS Team in Harrogate in a permanent post. A full time or part time nurse would be considered.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic and professional multi-disciplinary team, and work to develop their skills in delivering high quality evidence based assessments and interventions to our patient group, including children and young people experiencing a range of Mental Health and Neurodiverse conditions, while providing compassionate and effective support to their families. They would play a key role in our AHD clinic.

This post is only open to those candidates who already have their NMC registration in place and have successfully completed the preceptorship programme. Please note: Newly qualified applicants or those due to qualify will be recruited via our recruitment fairs.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of the mental health difficulties experienced by children and young people, and have an understanding of the therapies and other interventions used in treatment. Knowledge and understanding of common Neurodevelopmental conditions such as ASC and ADHD, and how these are assessed and treated, would be an advantage; as is the ability to recognise and manage common physical health complications experienced by children and young people experiencing Mental Health and Neurodevelopmental difficulties.

The successful applicant will be involved in continuous service development, and will work closely with external and internal partners to review, improve, and deliver services to the community. There is also a requirement to maintain high standards of personal and professional development.
