Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide clinical leadership across our Respite Services in Middlesbrough and Stockton, our Day Services in Brotton and Middlesbrough and our Residential Home in Thornaby.
Our Matrons will:
Lead by example
Ensure service users receive quality care
Ensure staffing levels are appropriate to service user need
Improve the environment for service users
Make sure service users are treated with dignity and respect by the service
as well as:
Facilitate an environment and approach which encourages social integration for service users.
Supporting the Nursing and Governance leads in promoting professional nursing developments and addressing nursing issues within their area.
These roles are crucial in upholding excellent standards of patient safety as well as supporting all staff to deliver the highest quality of care possible. The role is also aligned to the Trust Nursing and Governance Directorate to promote professional nursing standards.
The successful candidate will be a significantly experienced nurse with current NMC registration as a Learning Disability/ Mental Health Nurse who has demonstrable leadership experience. There is an expectation that the post holder(s) be part of the Adult Learning Disability collective leadership approach to develop the whole service to improve the lives of patients, their families and carers, through the promotion of excellent clinical and professional skills.
