Job summary

This post is only open to those candidates who already have their NMC registration in place and have successfully completed the preceptorship programme. Please note: Newly qualified applicants or those due to qualify will be recruited via a separate process.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join a CAMHS Community Service. This Role will represent an opportunity for the successful post holder to work as part of an MDT and to work clinically with children and young people.

Main duties of the job

You will work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team providing therapeutic services to children, young people (up to the age of 18 years), their families/ carer's, covering the South Durham locality. You will also work closely with partner agencies for the benefit of this client group. We are looking to appoint someone who is highly motivated and enthusiastic about working with this client group and who will come with a range of transferrable skills.

The successful applicant will have good organisational skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. In exchange you will be well supported within the team, with continuing opportunities for your ongoing professional development.

  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Trained Clinical Supervisor (within agreed timescale).

  • Camhs degree/certificate in teaching and assessment
