Job summary
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join Adult Mental Health planned care in managing the Transition Interventions and Liaison service, alongside the Ministry of Defence out patients and the Recovery College all based in the Durham area.
The post holder will need to be flexible in their approach to managing the day to day operational aspects of the different teams and staff. You will lead the teams, ensuring that operational requirements are adhered to including the delivery of clinical and management supervision, with the associated appraisal. There will be opportunities to become involved in the provider collaborative work for the veterans services which includes collaborative work with our neighbouring NHS Trusts and third party providers.
There will also be the opportunity to work with the Recovery College staff to continue the excellent service delivery with a focus on recovery ad wellbeing.
The successful candidate will work within a collaborative leadership approach with senior clinical staff including the service manager, CPNs, recovery managers and clinical psychology. The successful candidate will also work alongside other healthcare providers, both internal and external displaying excellent skills in communication, engagement and collaborative working.
Main duties of the job
Operational management of the three team areas, including accountability for ensuring the highest professional standards and attitudes towards the care of patients are maintained and delivered at all times in accordance with evidence based practice.
The successful candidate should be a competent and confident clinical practitioner with extensive experience working in Mental Health Services.
