Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the forensic CAMHS team as a senior social worker. We are looking for a creative and flexible band 7 Social Worker who has experience of working with children and families that have high forensic needs and may have had contact with the criminal justice team.

Main duties of the job

This is a new role to the team and therefore we are interested in how we can work collaboratively to develop the role and service. The post holder will develop the role of social work, engage with children and young people who have complex needs and enhancing their journey to better mental health. This will include psychosocial support for children and young people transitioning between services, and placements, and guidance, advice and service development for service users and carers and multi-disciplinary teams from the point of contact of accessing services throughout the treatment journey, promoting shared decision making and compassionate leadership.
