Job summary
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a suitably experienced registered mental health professional to manage one of our busy CAMHS team in York.
The successful candidate will have recent experience in mental health services, the candidate would have experience in a managerial or leadership role including supervising staff and being involved in service development and performance monitoring.
Main duties of the job
To improve the lives of people with mental ill health by minimising the impact of their condition through effective clinical leadership and management of the development and delivery of excellent services to promote recovery and well being for all service users.
To be compassionate in meeting the needs of patients and their carers.
To be professionally accountable and responsible for the delivery of the clinical service by the community team.
To be responsible for the operational management of the team.
To lead practice development and service development initiatives to ensure continual quality improvement as an integral part of the Trust's QualityImprovement System.
To line manage the community team.
To provide direct care to patients in their homes and other community settings as required.

The post holder will be responsible for supporting and overseeing the operational delivery of the CAMHS service at team level and supporting the team in addressing issues impacting on service delivery. Sound leadership and excellent communication skills will be required to drive the delivery of an effective, efficient, high-quality service in accordance with Trust values, clinical standards, service priorities and performance requirements.
The post holder will be required to work closely with clinical and professional leads and to ensure effective links with other community teams and partners in York. The ability to work autonomously is essential with overall support and strategic direction from the Service Manager.
