Job summary

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a suitably experienced registered mental health professional to manage one of our busy CAMHS team in York.

The successful candidate will have recent experience in mental health services, the candidate would have experience in a managerial or leadership role including supervising staff and being involved in service development and performance monitoring.

Main duties of the job

To improve the lives of people with mental ill health by minimising the impact of their condition through effective clinical leadership and management of the development and delivery of excellent services to promote recovery and well being for all service users.

To be compassionate in meeting the needs of patients and their carers.

To be professionally accountable and responsible for the delivery of the clinical service by the community team.

To be responsible for the operational management of the team.

To lead practice development and service development initiatives to ensure continual quality improvement as an integral part of the Trust's QualityImprovement System.

To line manage the community team.

To provide direct care to patients in their homes and other community settings as required.

  • Current professional registration with appropriate body in healthcare or social work
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
  • Post-graduate diploma in a relevant area

  • Significant experience working with people with complex mental ill health in a community setting
