Working with the Executive Director, you will co-ordinate the, planning and delivery of an effective digital and information technology service. As part of the Senior collective leadership team develop the digital and data framework, leading, coordinating and directing the service to provide innovation and successful delivery of the strategy.

Main duties of the job

The Chief Information Officer will deliver a step change in digital transformation, working with clinicians, colleagues and partners to ensure the optimisation of our digital and data services across the organisation, facilitating the realisation of benefits and the integration of digital care with the Trust's quality and safety priorities. The post will promote and support delivery of the Trust's over-arching strategic framework; Our Journey to Change including consistently role modelling Trust Values. Specific role responsibilities include accountability for delivering our enabling Digital and Data Journey to Change through ensuring families and our patients are at the centre of all we do, and staff have the skills and resources required to deliver services to an outstanding standard

About us

We are one of the largest specialist mental health and learning disabilities trusts in the country, with an annual income of £320m and a workforce of some 6,700 staff operating from around 100 sites in Durham, Teesside, North Yorkshire and York and Selby. We provide a range inpatient and community services to 2m people living in County Durham, the Tees Valley, Scarborough, Whitby, Ryedale, Harrogate, Hambleton and Richmondshire. We also provide additional specialist services to other parts of Northern England.

We deliver our services by working in partnership with eight local authorities and clinical commissioning groups, a wide range of voluntary organisations, as well as service users, their carers and the public. The services are spread over a wide geographical area of around 3,600 square miles, which includes coastal, rural and industrial areas.
