Patient Safety and Quality Assistant

Job summary

The post holder will assist in the administration progression of patient safety and quality initiatives within the directorate. She/He will provide advice and support on the patient safety agenda and will participate within the directorate, contributing to the monitoring and improving of standards of care.

Main duties of the job

  • Use appropriate technologies to efficiently diary manage making appointments, arranging meetings and interviews.
  • To undertake secretarial duties for senior staff within the Care Group.
  • To act as Committee secretariat, preparation of agendas and circulation of relevant papers / minutes etc to participants.
  • Attend to minutes to Committees and other meetings as required, and ensure production and dissemination within agreed timescales.
  • Organise and plan own time prioritising the workload to ensure all service requirements are met.

  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent
