An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Radiology team as a specialist nurse to support the provision of interventional procedures.
Candidates with no previous experience in interventional radiology will be considered
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to learn new skills and work independently following training in a range of interventional procedures.
Demonstrate excellent team-working and interpersonal skills and deliver a high standard of care to all patients
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be an autonomous independent practitioner in accordance with defined protocols.
They will provide specialist advice and training to health care professionals and multi-disciplinary teams.
They will play a key role in supporting the day to day, smooth running of the radiology specialist and interventional room/s.
The successful candidate will assist the radiologist and advanced practitioner radiographers during interventional procedures.
In addition, the post holder will provide specialist nursing care and advice to staff and patients on all aspects of the interventional Radiology service to ensure the maximum possible benefit is made of learning opportunities, education and resources.
The post holder will monitor and improve standards of care through clinical audit, evidence based practice, teaching and supporting professional colleagues and the provision of skilled professional leadership.
There will also be a responsibility to drive service improvement in line with clinical, quality and service standards
