This post is to join our Band 5 Occupational Therapy rotations, on a fixed term basis for 22.5hour per week. Please note the successful applicant will join one of our existing band 5 rotations which could be within the acute services or community based.Any interested applicants are encouraged to apply as there could be additional positions available within the near future. This is a part time post for 22.5 hours per week, fixed term post (maternity leave)

Main duties of the job
As this is a Trustwide post, the successful candidate will be required to rotate between the Stockton or Hartlepool localities. We offer rotations in Orthopaedics (elective and trauma, Acute Medicine and surgery, Respiratory, Intermediate Care/Community Therapy, Stroke Rehabilitation (Acute and Community), Paediatrics, Palliative care, Intergrated Discharge Team (IDT) and Home First
We are looking for dedicated health care professionals who are flexible in their approach and possess the aptitude to adapt quickly to new situations. Once fully developed into the Band 5 role and according to the needs of the service the post holder may have the opportunity to develop more specialist skills in non rotational band 5 posts.
The post holder will be responsible for assessing the needs of people on their caseload, devising treatment plans and devising appropriate pathways to enable people to return to their previous lifestyle where possible and practical.
The post holder will work autonomously in their area but will receive supervision and support with regard to continuing professional development from a Senior Therapist.
A UK driving license holder and access to a vehicle is desirable
