Stop Smoking Advisor

The stop smoking advisor who is a registered nurse with prescribing qualification will be required to provide smoking cessation behavioural change advice, support and treatment to clients accessing the North Tees & Hartlepool NHS Foundation trust Stop Smoking Service

Main duties of the job

Provide initial assessments, behavioural change support and prescribe, where required continued treatment to smokers in a range of settings including groups, drop in clinics and domiciliary visits.

Support the work of the Specialist Advisors working with targeted populations e.g. pregnant women, those with chronic disease conditions, mental health service users.

Provide update reports as required, disseminating key information to managers, colleagues and other professionals.
