Vacancy has arisen for a cardiac physiologist in the cardiac investigations unit, within In-Hospital care at North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust. We are pleased to offer a full time post to work within the multi-disciplinary team. Applicants will have a BSc in Cardiac Physiology or equivalent and eligible for RCCP registration. There may be opportunity for this posts hours to be discussed subject to other staffing availabilities, if desired. This post will work alongside, under the supervision of the specialist leads to enable us to co-ordinate a quality service. the successful candidate will work at all Trust sites including the Community diagnostic centre at Stockton as required

previous NHS experience on an acute site is essential

Main duties of the job

To work as a professional practitioner providing an efficient and effective specialist clinical service within the field of Cardiology ensuring high standards of patient care. Previous NHS experience is essential

Perform a range of diagnostic cardiac investigations providing accurate information aiding diagnosis and treatment. analyse and report ambulatory ECG's . work independently, alongside the MDT in the cardiac Cath lab. including invasive angiography and device implant. Assist within device follow up clinics as appropriate.

Contribute towards organisation of staff duties, daily workloads, waiting lists and prioritising cardiac investigations to ensure targets are met whilst providing a smoothly run well-balanced day.

Involved in training, advice and developmental support for other staff.

You should be an effective communicator and will work closely with the cardiology multidisciplinary teams and acute wards. We seek to appoint a motivated individual who has the skills and experience to work with the staff to develop your own skills and the existing services.
