To provide a high profile, visible, responsive, clinical and managerial leadership withaccountability for service delivery and advice in and out of hours. The post holder willhave Trust wide responsibility for leading and co-ordinating an evidence based capacitymanagement service promoting a dynamic flow of patients through the Trust. Tooptimise the use of capacity, whilst ensuring the optimum environment for patient carein order to facilitate the Trust to provide a high quality service.

Main duties of the job

Must be able to make informed decisions across all specialties and scope ofprofessional practice, involving patients and public to ensure agreed standards andobjectives are met. The post holder will also be the first point of contact for escalationof acutely ill patients and provide supportive advice and guidance to the multiprofessional teams. It is expected that the post holder will deal with clinical andnonclinical incidents and emergencies escalating to senior manager and on-callmanagement within defined pathways.
