Job summary
This is a replacement post giving the successful candidate the opportunity to provide specialist orthopaedic foot and ankle surgery and contribute to general orthopaedics and trauma care of the population of Teesside and Hartlepool.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be involved in cross-site working between the University Hospital of Hartlepool, University Hospital of North Tees in Stockton-On-Tees with the scope for a wider network of service delivery in line with the emerging integrated care partnership (ICP) work stream.
The successful candidate will also provide general trauma and orthopaedic services and be involved in the on-call rota with other colleagues, supported by junior medical staff.

The consultant will join an existing establishment of 20 consultants within the North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust. The post-holder will participate fully in all elements of the Orthopaedic Service, which is organised into the provision of trauma and elective work.
