Job summary
The Trust provides high quality Acute and Community Services to a resident population of 400,000 covering East Durham, Stockton, Hartlepool and surrounding areas, including a large part of Sedgefield. The Trust wishes to appoint a permanent Specialty Doctor in the specialty of Anaesthesia to provide cover to both hospital sites, the University Hospitals of North Tees and Hartlepool.
Main duties of the job
The department's activities cover a range of surgical specialties including General Surgery, Day Case Surgery, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Plastics, Dental and Maxillofacial surgery. A consultant led service for ICU, Obstetrics, Acute and Chronic Pain is also provided. The department is recognised by the Royal College of Anaesthetists for Schedule l Training.
Applicants must be fully registered with the General Medical Council (London) with a licence to practice. Possession of the primary FRCA or equivalent is desirable. Applications from clinicians unable to work full-time will also be considered.
