Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Apprentice Administration Assistant to join our busy People Services Team within the People Directorate at North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust.
This post provides the opportunity to develop skills whilst in paid employment. Applicants will receive training and be released for study to achieve a Customer Service Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard.
As Administration Assistant you will play a crucial role in welcoming staff to the department and Trust.
You will provide an efficient and effective administration service and excellent customer service to ensure queries are resolved in a timely manner.
The hours of work will be on full time basis 37.5 hours per week and office hours opening from 08:30 to 17:00, Monday to Friday.
Following the successful achievement of the apprenticeship standard within 18 months, you will have the opportunity and skills required to progress into a permanent position within the department.
Customer service experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel.

Main duties of the job
This role will provide general reception and clerical support to ensure that the needs of the service are met. Main duties will be reception, general office duties, HR and Recruitment support and general duties with Smartcards.
On a day to day basis, duties will include:
* To be the first point of contact for departmental phone calls and face toface enquiries, offering an appropriate response within the boundariesof knowledge or signposting effectively within or out with thedepartment.
* Provide a diary management service, where required for staff within thedepartment.
* Attend meetings, where required taking and transcribing notes foragreement, to fully reflect the business of the meeting
* Ensure that all documents are filed efficiently, for the departmentswithin your team, for ease of retrieval when required.
