Job summary
The Clinical Support Worker will assist the Resuscitation Officers and Simulation Clinical Educator is responsible for the planning and delivery of simulation education, as appropriate to the staff of North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust.
Support the Resuscitation and Simulation Team to co-ordinate the use with the maintenance of all training equipment within the Trust
Main duties of the job
To act as a professional resource for all members of the hospital team.
To maintain high standards of delivery of resuscitation and simulation training through audit and to have the ability to act upon any issues identified.
To deliver Acute Illness Management (AIMs) course for the trusts clinical support works.
Support the delivery and training of non-clinical Basic Life Support (BLS) covering both adults and paediatrics.

Be responsible for managing and prioritising own workload and maintaining accurate training records.
Ensure the simulation suite provides a supportive learning environment allowing students to engage in experiential learning
Being able to work unsupervised, managing own workload. Act on own initiative when dealing with enquiries but recognise when support and escalation are required
To work with the Simulation Tutor, Simulation Teaching Fellow and Simulation Clinical Educator to assist in developing simulation training in order to facilitate practice development through an evidencebased approach.
To co-ordinate, develop, deliver, test and evaluate simulation training which is based on current Trust policies
To deliver BLS, AED, Anaphylaxis and associated foundation level resuscitation training to Trust staff at all levels in the context of annual updates, induction and other sessions to meet organisational needs.
To maintain all resuscitation and associated training equipment to the expected standards, including regular changing of lungs and identifying the need for external maintenance as required.
Assisting the service in maintaining an up to date list of training assets.
To support the Resuscitation Service in relation to the organisation, scheduling, set up and delivery of intermediate and advanced training as appropriate, including but not restricted to supporting Resuscitation Council (UK) Courses such as Immediate Life Support, Paediatric Immediate Life Support and Advanced Life Support.
To assist in the delivery of any service level agreements / external training/ work undertaken by the Resuscitation Service as appropriate.
