Are you looking for a role as a Specialist Clinical Technologist in a friendly, dynamic service with excellent professional leadership?
We are looking for an enthusiastic Specialist Clinical Technologist with excellent team working skills. This post is to support the service to provide a multidisciplinary Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) service in Kent and Medway. Our caseload is primarily clients with complex disabilities who have communication difficulties.
You will be working closely with our Healthcare Scientists, in Kent and Medway, within two multidisciplinary teams. You will be supporting us, primarily at the Children and Young People (CYP) site at Ashford. You are also expected to travel within Kent and Medway at times.
The KM CAT service is one of 15 services identified nationally for its AAC specialism by NHS England. The team is friendly and welcoming, and is held in high regard for providing a high quality, patient-centred clinical service founded on evidence-based practice and clinical collaboration. We are committed to continually developing our staff and services and adapting to the changing environment around us.
Main duties of the job
Your role will mainly involve supporting the team with clinical assessment, computing equipment preparation, repairs, equipment management, design and manufacturing of bespoke equipment, mounting AAC and working to a quality system. Our caseload is primarily clients with complex disabilities who have communication difficulties.
