Job summary
We are looking for an experienced Waiting list coordinator to join our busy General Surgery team at QEQMH. We are looking for someone reliable with a high standard of communication and organisational skills to provide an efficient administrative service to our team. The successful applicant will be joining a highly motivated and effective team who strive to ensure patient care is at the forefront of our service. This position is full-time, working 37.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday).
Main duties of the job
- The post holder will be part of the Waiting List team and will be responsible for the day to day compiling of waiting lists, the co-ordination of scheduling patients and the effective utilisation of theatre lists.
- To ensure this is appropriately managed this will require processing of complex and sensitive information.
- The post holder will be required to manage waiting lists ensuring compliance with local and national targets and the Trust's Patient Access Policy.
- The coordinator is responsible for the administrative rolewithin the patient's pathway from the decision to treat electively to the date of admission.
- Key liaison between the Trust and outsourced dictation services, or voice recognition services, for themajority of clinical administration.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to consultants and their teams.
- Work in a team based secretarial service providing support for each other and ensuring continuity of the service.
