There has never been a more exciting time to join us. East Kent is looking to appoint four new consultants across its major sites at Kent and Canterbury Hospital, Canterbury, Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital, Margate and William Harvey Hospital, Ashford. With Trust Board support for an optimisation and improvement programme to be delivered over the next two years, based on clinician engagement and clinical leadership. You will have the opportunity to influence this programme.
This is a successful department with over 40 Consultant Radiologist's.
We provide all the key services that you would expect in one of the largest Acute Trust in the NHS. Including surgical, medical, obstetric, paediatric and gynaecological services. William Harvey Hospital is a head and neck/max-facial centre, and QEQM hospital a gynae oncology centre.
Main duties of the job
The post will have components of general radiology, including plain film reporting, CT, Ultrasound and MRI. Each department undertakes a range of interventional image-guided procedures including non-vascular interventions including CT and US guided biopsies, PEG insertion and drainages of abscesses.
In addition, it is hoped that the successful candidate will be able to offer sub-specialist experience in one of chest, GI, cardiac or paediatric radiology. The Trust is able to accommodate / consider any other sub-specialist interest.
