Housekeeper-Fordwich ward

Job summary

As housekeeper of the ward you will play an important role within the team to help maintain the smooth running of the ward.

To assist the ward staff and Ward Manager with the housekeeping duties to free them up for patient care.

This could involve, assisting with ensuring the ward has a constant supply of linen, taking the dirty linen to the store room, ensuring the ward is clean, tidy and decluttered.

Ensure equipment is cleaned as per trust policy, Maintain clean and tidy bed spaces.

Main duties of the job

Log calls for defects and chase them if needed.

Clean and prepare patient beds if ward is busy.

Keep patients topped with with toiletries etc as needed.

Top up the ward clinical supplies.

Good communication is essential in this role.
