Job summary

The Legal Services Department has an exciting opportunity for a Legal Services Assistant to join our team. We require an organised, methodical staff member with an eye for detail to assist in maintaining the high quality administration of a busy acute NHS Trust Legal Department.

The legal department is a small, niche, professional team providing services to the Trust and staff that are involved in legal matters, including clinical and non-clinical claims and Inquest hearings.

Main duties of the job

The role is integral to the legal department and is, in the main to provide disclosure services to requesting lawyers in relation to clinical negligence claims against the Trust, HM Coroner's Inquests, Kent Police and others, together with general administrative services in the legal department.
