Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a person to join our Integrated Therapy team as a Paediatric Occupational Therapy Assistant in Ashford. We are looking for a proactive, creative and highly motivated person with experience working with pre-school and/or school aged children, possibly within a school setting, to join our therapy team for 5 days per week (37.5hours).

The post holder will join a friendly therapy team based in Rainbow MASH building which also acts as a base for Specialist Teaching, Disabled Children and Young People's Service and NHS Children's Services.

We are offering a position working as an assistant based in the Rainbow Centre, Ashford, working with children with a range of clinical needs .You will be required to work independently with children and their families, or school staff, to carry out therapy plans written by the therapist.

The post holder will be required to travel to schools, nurseries and homes

Main duties of the job

Our Children and Young People's Therapy team encourages an evidence-based outcomes focused approach to meeting the needs of our service users. We provide assessment and intervention based on a child's individual need regardless of their age.

We have a thriving in-service CPD offer with support from a Practice Educator, regular clinical supervision and a wide range of support as required.

Our modernised IT offer has allowed us to develop flexible working between office, schools and home.
