Main duties of the job
The Neonatal Services have:
- A Practice Development Lead on site who will be supported by a Clinical Skills Facilitator who are able to provide a bespoke induction package to the successful candidate. They work closely alongside all staff to provide learning opportunities and ensure that all competencies are met.
- Close collaborative working with the local University providing placements for midwifery and Child Branch Students.
- As well as supporting our own students for the Neonatal Intensive Care Course we are sometimes able to provide placements for students from other Neonatal Units.
- To work alongside the Practice Development Leads to encourage learning and education in the neonatal unit
- To work clinically in all areas of NICU and SCBU at least 60% of working hours
- To work cross site to ensure education and learning equitable across the trust
