Job summary
Each Care Group is led and overseen by a Managing Director reporting to the Chief Operating Officer.
Each Care group will oversee various services and have a clear leadership structure working with the Managing Director. The senior leadership team for each Care Group are also responsible for the day-to-day running of each hospital, Queen Elizabeth Queen Mother, Margate, William Harvey Hospital, Ashford and Kent and Canterbury, Canterbury.
The predominant responsibilities of the role will be to lead the development of the Care Group, ensuring that the intended outcomes for quality, performance, finance, workforce, transformation and collaborative system working are delivered
Main duties of the job
To assist the Head of Operations in ensuring that all performance targets are met, and support the Head of Operations to develop and implement sustainable solutions in conjunction with clinical and managerial colleagues across the Care Group.
To be responsible for ensuring the operational delivery of services; leading and effectively implementing change management initiatives to improve service provision.
To influence the strategic development and service improvement within the agreed portfolio, in conjunction with the senior leadership team for the care group.
To lead and deliver strategic development and service improvement as required.
To be responsible for ensuring that within all specific work areas, all local and national performance targets and objectives are met.
Responsible for management of resources (human resources, estate, financial) as agreed with the Head of Operations.
