Job summary
The Director of Quality Governance will provide specialist and professional advice to the Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer on all matters relating to Integrated Clinical Governance particularly, in meeting its legal and statutory duties as set by the Department of Health and delegated authorities such as NHS England & Improvement and the Care Quality Commission.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will have a leadership role, working closely with the Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer and Chief Medical Officer to create an environment which promotes and supports safety for our patients staff and visitors; enabling the trust to provide the right care for patients and that the experience of service users and their carers is included in our learning agenda.
The postholder will ensure that there are effective monitoring processes in place, Ward to Board integrated reporting that will promote effective escalation of risks and concerns that have the potential to affect patient outcomes or compliance standards.
