Job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Band 5 or 6 Physiotherapist to join our MSK Paediatric Therapy Team for a fixed time to cover maternity leave. We are looking for a motivated Physiotherapist, who would like to further develop their career as a paediatric musculoskeletal physiotherapist within a highly rewarding and progressive team. We are happy to offer this role as a training position or band 5 that has the appropriate set of skills.There will also be the opportunity to specialise and gain more experience in the field of orthopaedic paediatrics.
Main duties of the job
You will be working as an autonomous practitioner with senior support from a team of highly experienced clinical specialist physiotherapists and advanced practice physiotherapists. We have a rotational band 5 physiotherapy scheme which you will be involved with as well as working alongside therapy support staff. The service is committed to continued professional development and service improvement, and the successful applicant would be expected to fully participate in ongoing service development activities and the regular in-service training programme.
You will assist in the clinical delivery of the paediatric musculoskeletal physiotherapy service in the Outpatient Physiotherapy Department based at The Kent and Canterbury Hospital, although you may be required to visit other sites as per the service need. Your caseload will consist of a range of 1:1 assessments and treatments as well as being responsible for independently running group sessions in our gym space and hydrotherapy pool.
