Job summary
We are currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our Nurse led Chemotherapy Unit at the Kent and Canterbury Hospital, Canterbury.
Main duties of the job
- To provide support to the Nursing team. To ensure the maintenance of high standards of patient care in response to service needs
- To contribute to the delivery of patients' individual care under the direct or indirect supervision of a registered nurse
- Demonstrate a level of skill and understanding which enables you to undertake specific tasks delegated by the nurse in charge and in accordance with relevant procedures, guidelines and policies. Undertake both routine and specially identified tasks for which they have been trained and assessed as competent
- Assist with the induction, supervision, training and development of Band 2 Healthcare Assistants under the supervision of a registered nurse
- Undertake further training to develop the role as required
