Job summary

Applications are invited for the above post, to work as a Diabetes Specialist Nurse based at the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital.

The successful applicant must show/demonstrable experience of working with patients with diabetes, and have some insight into this specialist area. They must be self-motivating, organised, computer literate and able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with a commitment to continued personal development. This role will offer opportunities to expand their diabetes nursing skills as well as consolidating existing knowledge.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be working within an enthusiastic team within EKHUFT providing clinical / education advice for staff, and support and education for patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes and their families/carers.
