Gynaecology Outpatients Manager - Leatherhead
We are seeking a proactive, dynamic, and experienced nurse manager to lead our friendly Gynaecology Outpatient Services. The successful candidate will oversee the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care across a range of outpatient services and clinics. You will be responsible for operational management, clinical leadership, service development, and staff support. The post holder is expected to lead the team to deliver high quality, effective, individualised nursing care to all patients undergoing Gynaecology outpatient assessments, investigations and procedures, ensuring a safe environment and providing a high level of information and support to patients. You will be expected to demonstrate excellent leadership skills with experience in staff management. You are expected to carry out audits and deputise for the Gynaecology matron in absence.
Main duties of the job
Provide clinical expertise and specialist advice to women accessing gynaecological outpatient services.Ensure the delivery ofevidence-based, holistic nursing care that is current, effective, and aligned with Trust policies.Maintain asafe and supportive environment for patients undergoing assessments, investigations, and procedures.Act as apositive role model, demonstrating professional attitudes and behaviours.
Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the gynaecology outpatient department.Providestrong, clear, and consistent leadership to both qualified and unqualified staff.Promote effectivecommunication within the multidisciplinary team, patients, and relatives.Motivate the team to foster apositive learning environment, ensuring staff are supported and developed within the outpatient competency framework.
Support and participate in all aspects of clinical governance, including audits and quality assurance. Identify and implement initiatives to improve patient care and service delivery. Ensure compliance with current standards and legislation relevant to gynaecology services.Manage staffing, resources, and scheduling to ensure smooth service delivery.Contribute tostrategic planning and development of outpatient services.Liaise with other departments and external partners to ensureintegrated care pathways.
