Job summary
Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust are seeking to appoint an Educator for Advanced Clinical Practice preferably with the Advanced Clinical Practice qualification and teaching experience. ESTH is looking for a driven individual who strives for excellence in all aspects of clinical knowledge leadership and has a strong focus on teamwork. You will be expected to bring a sound understanding of autonomous practice. A background in Advanced Practice is essential. The applicant will be committed to promoting high quality, evidence-based learning and teaching and should be able to facilitate learning of a broad range of Advanced Practice under the 4 Pillars (Research, Clinical Practice, Research, Leadership and Management).
The role involves supervision, governance, and CPD whiles engaging in inter-professional facilitation. The applicant will be expected to contribute to the development of evidenced based teaching resources appropriate for the level of Advanced Practice and should understand the fundamental considerations which underpin supervision in Advanced Clinical practice.

Main duties of the job
Oversee clinical supervision and education activities to support the Trainee Advanced Practitioners (tAPs) undertake the MSc in Advanced Practice and 'sign off' for entry into Trust Advanced Practice database. Work in collaboration with the Trust Lead for Advanced Practice Education to co-ordinate and support the provision of high quality in house clinical placements, work-based learning, simulation, assessment and supervision for trainee Advanced Practitioners in the Trust. Work with Trust ACP Lead in collaboration with the HEI partner in simulation leads to ensure that simulation-based education is incorporated in Advanced Practice and any relevant professional requirements /curriculum frameworks. To participate in ACP workforce development; leading on end of Y1 and Y2 ACP assessments in collaboration with supervisors, and Trust ACP Lead for education.
