Job summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a high standard of care to dialysis patients as well as ensuring an excellent learning environment for patient and staff. With the support of the Clinical Matron and Lead Clinicians, he/ she will need to participate in relevant projects and ensure strict compliance with specific infection and dialysis guidelines in order to develop the service. The post holder must have excellent interpersonal skills and have the capacity to work autonomously as a clinical expert. He/she will need substantial renal nursing experience, passes in renal degree modules or the ENB 136 certificate and have a keen interest in advance dialysis practice. He/she must also be self-motivated and have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. This post is being offered as a part time post consisting of an average 29.25 hours per week (0.78 WTE), the successful candidate would be rostered to LD shifts per rota period
Main duties of the job
To have continuous responsibility for the following aspects of care and management:
? Develop and update protocols and related practice in line with current evidence based practice? Care delivered to patients and the setting and monitoring of standards of care? Selection, deployment, training and development of staff and students.? Assessment, development and implementation of specialised nursing packages of care.? Compliance with all Clinical guidelines and hospital policies by all members of the staff.? To create and support a learning environment and promote continuous professional development.? To provides highly specialised nursing advice to ensure appropriate treatment and care is delivered to thepatient at all times.? To refers and order specialised tests in line with agreed protocols and clinical governance guidelines? To motivate and engage patients in shared or self-care.? To provide holistic patient centred care to all dialysis patients.? To Assess, plan and implement specialised packages of nursing of care to patients as the named nurse
