Main duties of the job
Working within our Infinity Team, you will be responsible fordelivering comprehensive and exceptional midwifery care in both hospital and community environments for mothers, babies, and families during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postnatal phase.
Clinical duties include:
- Fundamentally required to undertake all clinical activities that are required of a midwife.
- Give total midwifery care in acute and primary health care setting. This will involve a flexible rota.
- Responsible for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care in accordance with best practice
- Advocate for women and support them in their choices surrounding pregnancy and birth, whilst empowering them and promoting birth as a normal, physiological process.
- Ensure all care is delivered in line with current evidence based practice.

High Volume of Care: Caring for approximately 4,300 women annually across our two sites.
Comprehensive Service Offering:Includes assisted conception, community services, obstetric-led labour wards, co-located birth centres, specialist midwifery teams, and our home birth team.
Positive Feedback:Women and families consistently report positive experiences, highlighting the quality of care provided. The 2024 Maternity Benchmark survey demonstrated ESTH performed above average, particularly in postnatal care.

- Completed Preceptorship Programme
