Job summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Digital Team. This role is part of a Team who are responsible supporting and delivering integration for clinical applications and projects.

We are looking for individuals with excellent technical and communication skills. The post holder is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining the patient data interfaces (mostly HL7) between the Trust's main clinical systems (iCLIP Pro) and various clinical systems inside and outside the Trust.

The post holder will ensure the day-to-day running and the correct operation of the interfaces contained in the Trust integration engines. It is essential that the post holder has Mirth skills and experience

Main duties of the job

Design, develop and maintain data transfer interfaces within the Trust's integration engines using data formats such as HL7, FHIR, XML, and communication protocols such as REST, SOAP, M(L)LP

Design and plan new interfaces as required, to include quality assurance, unit testing, integration testing, regression testing and signoff

Co-ordinate the design, creation and maintenance of mapping tables used by the integration engines to translate data between systems. This will involve working closely with the system application managers and other technical staff.

Help to ensure the interfaces and their management are supportive all governance and security policies and procedures.

To monitor the day-to-day running and usage of data interfaces and integration engines

Discuss, design, develop, document and maintain programs, views or mechanisms to monitor various interfaces in the Trust's integration engines and ensure the smooth running of the interfaces

To deal with any issues arising and notifying any users of planned or unplanned downtime. This would generally involve liaison with the ICT department

Produce a post-mortem on the occurrence of any unplanned downtime

To be available for on-call duties (involving the possibility of call outs) if required

To provide support for any issues arising from planned or unplanned down time
