This post will be based across sites, although on calls will be delivered at St Helier Hospital

Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust provides a range of medical services to approximately 420,000 people living across southwest London and northeast Surrey. In addition, we provide more specialist services, in particular renal and neonatal intensive care to a wider area covering parts of Sussex and Hampshire.

Main duties of the job
The Epsom & St Helier Anaesthetic department is aligned with the St. George's (STG) teaching programme for medical students and the South Thames School of Anaesthesia training programme. We have ACSA Accreditation.
There is a well-established Simulation teaching programme which gives opportunities for suitably qualified applicants.
We score highly in national Hip Fracture audit data and are one of the busiest 5 units in London.
We have a dedicated Day surgery Paediatric Hospital with visiting Surgeons from St George's and a busy Obstetric Unit.

Essential
- Hold a medical qualification registered with the GMC
- Entry onto the GMc Specialist register or be within six months of obtaining CESR or equivalent
- ALS Training
- Stage 3 Obstetric anaesthesia or training / or equivalent
- Stage 3 ICM training or equivalent
- Stage 3 Paediatric anaesthesia training or equivalent
- Stage 3 SIA for advanced airway anaesthesia
Desirable
- Specialist interest in anaesthesia sub specialties
Clinical Experience
Essential
- Broad range of experience in delivering anaesthesia in elective and emergency surgery for patients of all ages
- Stage 3 SIA for Advanced airway management skills
Desirable
- Broad experience in peri operative medicine for high risk patients
Teaching experience
Essential
- Stage 3 or equivalent experience of teaching undergraduate and post graduate trainees
