We have an exciting opportunity for an HR Assistant Role within our team.
This role is an exciting opportunity for someone looking for a part time opportunity in Human Resources.
The hours for this position are 20 hrs per week. We are open to flexible working. However, require the post holder to work a minimum of 3 days per week or shorter days across 4 or 5 days per week.

Main duties of the job
To provide an effective and efficient comprehensive administration service for Surrey Downs Health & Care Partnership (SDH&C). Ensuring that the service provided meets agreed quality standards. Develop positive relations with managers and staff within SDH&C to provide relevant HR related advice and support.

Job responsibilities
- First point of contact for SDH&C staff for HR queries manage the HR queries inbox ensuring that queries are directed appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Assist with the review & updating of HR policies. Ensure that revisions to policies are disseminated to the teams and uploaded to the intranet.
- Produce and review template documentation/ proformas in relation to HR processes, such as 1:1s, appraisals and mid-term reviews.
- Responsible for maintaining personnel files within appropriate timescales - ensuring all HR documentation is stored securely and every employee has the correct documentation stored.
- Support the HR/OD Advisory and Business Partner in the management of employee relations, acting as a formal note-taker during grievance, investigation and disciplinary meetings and distributing required correspondence when required.
- Maintain SDH&C staff database with up to date employee information.
- Monitor fixed term contracts, professional registrations, DBS and right to work.
- Advise on terms and conditions queries such as annual leave and basic terms and conditions seeking advice from HR Business Partner for complex queries
- Support with updating the SDH&C handbook.
- Plan and organise own work assessing priorities on a day to day basis and planning ahead to meet ongoing schedule of strict deadlines;
- Support the Head of HR with diary management and administration tasks as and when needed.
- Maintain high standards of confidentiality at all times;
- Identify and take personal responsibility for maintaining and development (professional) knowledge and expertise, agree and working towards the achievement of a Personal Development Plan.
- Continually strive for service improvement to support the highest quality of patient care, service provision and business objectives;
- Any additional SDH&C project-based support as applicable
- Able to support the Recruitment administrator, HR Systems Specialist & Resourcing Advisor & Business Partner as and when required such as fluctuations in capacity & annual leave.
