Job summary
Due to the current postholder leaving, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full time band 6 Dietitian to join our Epsom acute adult dietetic team on a permanent basis. This position will primarily be covering the stroke wards, however there will be some expectation to support with an acute medical caseload as well as patients on HDU and TPN. This is an exciting chance to join our friendly, informal department which provides dietetic services to local areas. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated dietitian to join our dynamic team. There will be opportunities for cross site working on our St Helier site.This is an excellent opportunity to gain a range of Dietetic experience in a supportive environment.We actively encourage personal development and you will have the opportunity to learn from colleagues working in specialist areas. The department currently provides training for placement 1, 2 and 3 students and you will participate in this as part of the team.
Main duties of the job
- To provide and develop a specialist dietetic service to patients on the stroke unit
- To provide a Dietetic service to general medicine wards, including gastro and surgical and providing support and cover to HDU and TPN patients.
- To work as part of the multidisciplinary team on the stroke unit and other wards as needed
- This role is one of an expert practitioner who works autonomously
