Job summary

Nursing associate, 26 hours per week, outpatients department St Helier

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time nursing associate post in our busy adult Outpatient area.

Both St Helier and Epsom have OPD services spread across several units, STH also supports Jubilee Health Centre in Wallington.

Candidates must be in receipt of their PIN and have a keen interest in working in an Outpatient department.

Previous outpatients experience desirable with extended skills in phlebotomy, ECG and wound care.

This is an exciting time for nursing associates within an OP department as we develop and expand the service.We positively encourage learning and development within the team and the candidate will be instrumental in supporting this.

The post holder will be required to support our outpatients department across site as required, with some weekends and evenings.

In an emergency situation, the post holder may be asked to support other wards and departments across the trust.

Main duties of the job

Provide optimum quality of care to patients, offering support to the multi-professional team, will take responsibility for an identified area on regular shift.

Administer medications in alignment with NMC standards of proficiency and Trust policy and procedure.

The post holder will be required to play an integral role in the delivery of Care Benchmarking activities and Trust specific CQUINS targets and participate in audits.
