Highly Specialist Dietitian for Dysphagia Team for Adults with Learning Disabilities - Band 7
Sutton Health and Care are looking for an experienced dietitian to join its Dysphagia Team for Adults with Learning Disabilities Team.
The post holder will work as an integral part of a small multi-disciplinary team working in dysphagia and be a key link between Mainstream Community Services; Borough based Learning Disability services and colleagues in local hospitals.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide holistic and person centred care to all patients who access the services. They will see learning disability patients with dysphagia, overweight/obesity, malnutrition, nutritional deficiencies, patients on enteral feeding and gastrointestinal disorders.
The post holder will assess, treat, and review these patients in their own home, in care/residential or supported living home or in a clinical setting. Training to clients, parents/ carers and support staff is an integral part of the role.

- degree or post graduate diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics.
- HCPC State Registration
Desirable
- Relevant MSc or post registration qualification
- Member of special interest group
- Member of BDA
Experience
Essential
- Experience in a range of clinical areas including oral nutrition support, enteral feeding and weight management or Masters level qualification.
- Experience of managing the needs of complex patients
- Demonstrated ability to work in partnership with other professionals /agencies in a variety of settings.
Desirable
- Experience working in Community Setting
- Relevant experience of working with people with learning disabilities.
- Experience of undertaking clinical audit and evaluation.
- Student training experience.

- Advanced skills in the assessment and treatment of clients with nutritional conditions
- Ability to apply core dietetic skills across a range of clinical conditions
- Ability to work autonomously
