Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for a Healthcare Assistant to join the Gynaecology Outpatient Department in Leatherhead. You will be working in the Women's health department supporting the team with various clinics such has Hysteroscopy, Colposcopy, Urogynaecology.

You will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills / Ability to work as a member of the team / be self-motivated and able to work under own initiative.The successful applicant will be joining a team of dedicated skilled staff, which include nurses, healthcare assistants, nurse associates and doctors. We are looking for enthusiasm, motivation, flexibility, hardworking and positive thinking .

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and caring individual to support the expansion of gynecological services at Leatherhead hospital.

As a HCA you will have a unique role in providing care for women undergoing gynaecological procedures. This is a new role being offered at Leatherhead due to increasing capacity and you will work collaboratively with the existing nursing, HCA and Consultant team to provide personalised care.

The role of the HCA is captured under 4 main headings

  • Clinical Practice
  • Education training and development
  • Evaluation of care provision & Audit
  • Human Resources

This role will involve direct patient care, maintenance of clinic schedules to ensure the smooth running of the clinics, communicating with patients and staff, stock checking and ensuring clinical areas are appropriately ready for clinical activity.
