Job summary
Sutton Community Health Services deliver health care to the population of London Borough of Sutton. Our vision is to promote independence and health, to deliver excellent co-ordinated care and to provide care within the heart of the patient's community.
Your role will be mainly within the Administration Centre. You will provide a patient focused service by responding to queries on the telephone from patients, referrers and staff and managing appointments and queries across the division. The Administration Centre processes large amounts of referrals on behalf of various services and manages the waiting list functions. The role is varied and you will use a variety of skills but ideally you should be a good communicator with a high level of customer service and be able to communicate with a diverse range of people.
The post holder will also cover clinics throughout Sutton Borough, when required. The Sutton Borough team provide an efficient administrative service across the Community Services Division.
Working hours will be 37.5 per week worked on a rotation between the hours of 0700 and 2000 and to include some weekend working. You will have a day off during the week if working at the weekend.
Main duties of the job
Patient Services Administrator Band 3
- Work within the Administration Centre and administer an efficient and cost effective administrative service across the community services.
- Provide a patient focused service by responding to all queries from patients, referrers and staff in a timely and professional manner.
- Manage patient appointments for patients.
- Work within the community to cover clinic, when required.
- Work with telephonic equipment and software used to support the Administration Centre.
