You will find that it is a role that is incredibly rewarding. Britten Ward isan18beddedAcute Stroke Unitwith 4of these beds set up as a HASU (hyper acute stroke unit). Each of the HASU beds have access to cardiac monitoring with nursing support provided to an extremely high standard 24 hrs a day. We take direct admissions from A&E for all suspected stroke presentations and those who have received thrombolysis and/or been repatriated following thrombectomy. Croft Acute stroke unit is a 24 bedded unit which provides care for stroke patients from age 18 upwards from different boroughs across south west London and Surrey.We take direct admissions from A&E for all suspected stroke presentations and repatriations from St Georges Hospital. Your career will benefit from the utilisation of your skills in stroke rehabilitation, complex discharge planning, end of life care and it is a varied and diverse role with many transferable skills.
