Job summary
The post holder is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of all aspects of clinical site management, ensuring that local and national targets are achieved.
To effectively manage the Trusts bed capacity in conjunction with the site Deputy Director of Operations, Deputy Medical Director and General Manager, over a twenty-four hour period ensuring all emergency and elective admissions meet both contractual and Patient Charter Standards and Access targets.
The post holder will be expected to utilise operational and clinical knowledge as necessary to undertake this role in order to train and support nursing, medical and ancillary staff, establish clinical priorities and ensure the smooth operational function of the organisation.
To provide out of hour coordination role of on-site services, working with staff to ensure that all services within the hospital are being delivered to an agreed standard. Ensuring that all issues are referred to the correct clinical group if not resolved.
To provide overall responsibility for the hospital site out of hours with support from the Senior Manager on Call and the Executive on Call.

We are seeking applications from experienced nurses to join our established teams who provide senior nursing support to the hospital site.
A broad overview of responsibilities includes managing the Trust's bed capacity, assisting in the achievement of key performance and quality standards (e.g. emergency and elective admission access targets, infection control), supporting staff as well patients and their relatives - providing overall responsibility for the hospital site out of hours with support from the on call senior manager and the executive on call.
Successful candidates will have post registration and previous clinical/team leadership experience. Evidence of advanced clinical skills, professional development and experience within acute care required.
We currently operate a system of 12 hr shifts, the working pattern being 13 shifts worked over a 4 week period and the post holder will be required to work day, twilight and night shifts.
