Job summary

Are you aTrainee Pharmacist on course to qualifying in 2023?If you're looking to launch your career in hospital pharmacy, we're looking for dynamic and enthusiastic pharmacists to join our busy team and work across the trust.

Our Rotational Clinical Pharmacist roles offer you an excellent opportunity for Band 6 to 7 progression in at least 18 months. We'll also help you draft a personal development plan for progression and provide you with support from Principal Pharmacist, Education and Training and line manager.

We're also thrilled to announce our brand-new talent pool which has been designed with you in mind. We understand how challenging and stressful it can be for Trainee Pharmacists to secure a permanent Pharmacist position, which is why we're excited to offer this unique and exciting opportunity to Trainee Pharmacists looking for a smooth transition into their professional career.

Main duties of the job

To become a part of our talent pool, you will undergo a process similar to a regular job application; you will be shortlisted and invited for an interview. However, unlike a traditional job application, if successful at the interview stage, you will be added to our 'talent pool'. Then, as a Band 6 Rotational Pharmacist roles become available, we will appoint to them from the talent pool in rank order (subject to passing the registration assessment and obtaining professional registration).To make the process as swift as possible, we will complete your pre-employment clearances whist in the talent pool (once you confirm your registration assessment results), so that as soon as you are offered a post, you can start within days!

To make the talent pool process easier to understand, we have included a timeline that outlines the various steps involved, so you know exactly what to expect.

When can I expect to be placed into a role?

Vacancies will be appointable from September 2023 to March 2024. All of your pre-employment checks will be done in advance, so as soon as positions become available you can start straight away!

When are interviews taking place?

Interviews will be taking place on the 13th of June. As mentioned above, if you are successful at this stage, you will be added to our 'talent pool' and will be offered a Band 6 Rotational Clinical Pharmacist role (subject to availability and exam results).
