Job summary
Surrey Downs Health & Care
- To manage the inpatient service within Dorking Community Hospital ensuring patients receive safe and compassionate care and experience a great service.
- To provide leadership within the multidisciplinary team and be responsible for the assessment of needs of the client and the development, implementation and evaluation of a programme of care within agreed standards.
- To undertake continued responsibility for the management of the wards patient case load.
- To facilitate the admission and discharge activity for the patient pathways within the ward and participate in the organisations capacity management arrangements.
- To lead, aid and facilitate changes within the service both clinically and operationally.
- To ensure there is on-going learning and development offered to the team members.
- To lead and facilitate patient focused, innovative research based practise, in line with the organisations objectives.
- To have overall responsibility for the cleanliness of the ward, ensuring all team members adhere to best practice in infection prevention and control.
Main duties of the job
- To be a highly competent, knowledgeable and visible practitioner setting the highest standards of care and ensuring the provision of appropriate, evidence based care for all patients/clients.
- To act as a role model and skilled practitioner to inspire excellence, constantly demonstrating the highest standards of care and professionalism.
- To treat all clients as individuals, respecting their privacy and dignity at all times.
