Job summary
The acute therapy department ( Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy, Speech therapy and Dietetic teams) is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic administration assistant with good team working skills.
Training and development will be provided through apprenticeships.
The post holder will be a key part of the cross-site administration team for therapy services at Epsom and St Helier Hospitals and will be responsible for providing administrative and secretarial support to the therapy team
Main duties of the job
Produce letters, reports and minutes of meetings on time and to a high standard of accuracy.
To help manage referral information and processing using patient information systems.
Ability to use required technology such as scanners, laptops and projectors to provide support for the team as required.
To communicate with the therapy team on a daily basis and all levels of staff on operational issues
To assist with the development of effective and efficient systems of work to enhance and support the work of the therapy team
Deal with telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner, within agreed quality standards, ensuring that all messages are appropriately passed on.
Maintain departmental filing systems ensuring that documentation is easily accessible.
Assist in organising notes and documentation for archiving.
