An exciting opportunity has arisen for internal candidates to apply for the role of a part-time specialist doctor in sexual and reproductive health at The Rosehill Clinic, an integrated Sexual Health clinic based at St Helier Hospital in Sutton. This is an opportunity to work with a dedicated and passionate team within Epsom and St Helier University NHS Trust to deliver contraceptive services to the population of Sutton and beyond as part of the Sutton Health and Care Alliance.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be Clinical lead for Contraception Services. and will have responsibility for providing contraception and advice, screening, and where necessary diagnosis and treatment of patients with STIs. The post holder will be expected to help lead on innovations and service modernisations. The post-holder will be expected to be actively involved in working with the team to streamline clinic capacity in light of changing service provision and commissioning requirements.

The Rosehill Clinic is a busy integrated sexual and reproductive health service in the London Borough of Sutton. We serve an area that is rich in diversity, with a mix of urban and rural areas, and differing levels of quality of life. We cover some of the most prosperous postcodes in the country, as well as some poorer areas. The clinic is located at St Helier Hospital, in an area of high social deprivation. The service is co-located with the HIV service and both services are provided by Epsom and St Helier (ESTH) NHS Trust as part of Sutton Health and Care.

The post holder will provide clinical leadership and training for contraception services and provision of complex contraception. In conjunction with the existing Consultants and Specialty Doctors, they will have responsibility for providing contraception and advice, screening, and where necessary diagnosis and treatment of patients with STIs. The post holder will be expected to help lead on innovations and service modernisations. The post-holder will be expected to be actively involved in working with the team to streamline clinic capacity in light of changing service provision and commissioning requirements.
The post holder will also be expected to work alongside the other consultants in providing clinical supervision for the medical and nursing staff in The Rosehill Clinic and developing the educational programme for the department. There will be the opportunity to participate in the Hospital Grand Rounds and departmental educational meetings.

- Full GMC Registration and Licence to practice with the General medical Council
Desirable
- Good understanding of and adherence to the principles of Good Medical Practice

- qualification of which a minimum of 6 years should have been in sexual and
- reproductive health in the Specialty doctor and/ or closed SAS or equivalent grades
