Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join us at the Epsom and St. Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust Library and Information Services Team.
You will assist in delivering high-quality customer-focused service, which supports learning, research and clinical activities within the hospital andother organisations served by the library service.
The successful post holder will need strong IT and training skills to lead on implementing regular IT using the NHS IT Skills Pathway and library training sessions. The post holder working with the Technology Enhanced Learning Lead will create eLearning modules using Articulate, hosted on the Trust Moodle Learning Management System. Day to day management of several websites, including the Library, is an essential part of the role.
Together with the Technology Enhanced Learning Lead, the post holder willbe responsible for horizon scanning for new technologies that could be utilised by the Library and Knowledge Services and other educational departments.
Main duties of the job
- To lead on with support from the Technology Enhanced Lead and Deputy Head of Library Services continued use of the NHS IT Digital Skills Training software, digital literacy training and digital skills champion training
- To provide library resources training
- To raise awareness among Epsom and St Helier, Surrey Downs Health and Care and Sutton Health and Care educators and trainees of the benefits and possibilities of using learning technologies and the Moodle Learning Management System associated with appropriate departments.
- Assist in developing, preparing, and publishing eLearning materials and training packages. This includes building and testing developments, assistive technologies and keeping project records
