Job summary
We are seeking a Co-ordinator to join the new AWP Bright Research Centre. This is a new centre created through funding from the Mental Health Translational Research Collaborative, which is establishing a national network of research clinics. This post is offered for a minimum of 30 hrs up to 37.5 hours per week; to the preference of the successful candidate. The Bright Research Centre is based at Southmead Hospital and the post holder would be the first point of contact for patients accessing the centre. The centre consists of Psychiatrists, R&D Staff, Researchers and other connected departments. This post holder will work within the multi-disciplinary team to support the ongoing functioning of the centre.
The successful candidate will have experience of working with people with mental health problems, ideally within the NHS, and be able to work flexibly to support the changing needs of a new centre. Main duties of the job
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a new Research Centre and contribute to improving and widening access to research for people with mental health problems. The successful individual should be passionate and enthusiastic about improving services through research and able to communicate complex information in a sensitive manner.
The post holder will play a central role in supporting the co-ordination of the centre, providing business co-ordination, overseeing clinical and research administration provision and support the day-to-day operational management of the centre.
The post holder will be the first point of contact for patients accessing the centre for either clinical assessment or research participation, supporting the patient journey throughout their contact with the centre. This will include registering new referrals, obtaining pre-screening information, triaging appointments, liaison with clinicians for appointments and all administration in relation to the centre.
